Blog: Collaborating in the name of employment

We at PHX Training recently created a showcase event for employment partners in Blackpool to share awareness of the opportunities presented through all of our efforts.

We invited partners including Jobcentre Plus, PeoplePlus, Blackpool Care and UR Potential to take part in the Employability Open Day to demonstrate what can be done in the area to help people find employment.

We all agreed that we can make a difference individually and collectively as partners striving for similar goals – to get people into work.

At the same time, many of the benefits of developing and enhancing skills for individuals in various sectors of industry also carry advantages for employers at all levels.

The various organisations all agreed that the drive for apprenticeships particularly in support of employment initiatives is a big opportunity.

At PHX Training, we are committed to providing apprenticeships of various kinds to help those across the north west of all ages because we believe they can make a difference.

We have recently been accepted by the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP) to work as a main provider, delivering direct training to Apprenticeship Levy businesses with an annual pay bill of more than £3m. We are also approved to deliver apprenticeship training as a sub-contractor to non-levy paying SMEs.

We believe apprenticeships don’t have to be just for young people, or just in certain industries. They can work at all levels, for people of all ages in diverse business industries.

Working with our various partners, and focusing on what we do best, we are aiming to improve opportunities for all concerned, both the individuals who need support, and the organisations who employ them.
