Local woman opens doors to future opportunities with PHX qualifications

PHX Training has helped open up new work opportunities for Marcella Jones from Morecambe after completing two maths qualifications in seven weeks.

Through these courses, Maths Level 1 and 2, Marcella was able to build up her confidence and skills in the fundamental principles of maths, with a focus on how to apply these in day-to-day work and personal life settings.

On her achievements, Marcella said: “This has boosted my confidence in my own abilities and what I am capable of. The PHX staff are very supportive and make you feel at ease. The tutors are very helpful.”

After her success in completing both maths courses, Marcella is keeping up momentum by looking into various other courses and qualifications where she can further expand her knowledge.

Some of the courses she has in the pipeline to complete include English, ICT and business administration.

The Entry Level 2 and Level 3 ICT courses at PHX focus on practical skills in using computer hardware and software, saving files, using emails and essential safe practices, offering learners an essential transferrable skillset for a variety of office-based jobs.

Meanwhile, the fully accredited business administration course covers key specialist areas including financial management, organisational behaviour and marketing.

By progressing into these courses alongside gaining a qualification in English, Marcella can apply and build on the skills she has gained already and further boost her employability in several different fields and industries.
